Our Mission

Hi all!Welcome to the new blog. A few weeks ago, we decided that we wanted to take a trip to Canada. We had never played with this idea before, but we really needed an excuse to use our passports and since we can't afford to fly to Paris, we figured we could at least drive to Québec.

The main reason we ever take a real vacation is for the food. In the province of Québec, there is a region known as Charlevoix. A series of roads in Charlevoix known as La Route des Saveurs, or "The Flavor Trail", connects many fresh, organic farms and incredible restaurants where they prepare dishes with ingredients taken directly from these farms. This is our ultimate destination. Along the way, we will see plenty of places in the United States and partake of the wonderful food along the way.

Over the next ten days, it will be our mission to eat all of this food from all over the world (actually just the continent) and report back to you (ok, actually it will just be Canada and some American states in-between [alright: a few states and a region of a province of Canada. Happy?!]). We hope to eat many baguettes, cheeses, foi gras, poutine plus a TON of other awesome stuff. But don't worry, we downloaded a podcast on how to speak French, so we won't completely embarrass ourselves or anyone directly related to us. So, come along with us to Canada: where the maple leaf is king, and the bacon is just another thinly-sliced piece of ham. Get out your berets and slap on a silly mustache because we're going to France, Canadian style!
